On September 30, 2010, the Commissioner hosted a forum on open government for Right to Know Week.  Chris Moore, CIO of the City of Edmonton, did a presentation on the many new initiatives the cities of Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto and Edmonton have undertaken to promote open data in the municipalities.  Mr. Moore also presented the Commissioner with a copy of a Proclamation signed by His Worship, Stephen Mandel, declaring September 27 - October 1, 2010, "Right to Know Week" in Edmonton.

Also speaking was Deputy Minister of Employment and Immigration Shirley Howe, on the September 30 2010 release of a comprehensive list of worksite injuries and fatalities involving more than 140,000 employers.

Commissioner Work had some remarks, and issued some challenges to government in the spirit of access to information over the next year.
