One of the mandates of the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner is to inform individuals and public bodies/custodians/organizations about the access to information and protection of privacy laws in Alberta. OIPC staff will accept invitations to make presentations to assist in the understanding of the legislation that we oversee, or in relation to subject matters such as how to prepare a privacy impact assessment, protecting privacy, etc. If you would like to request that the Commissioner or a member of his staff attend a function or give a presentation, please contact our office.
Presentations on Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) General Education Session
The PIA presentation is designed to educate users on the OIPC Privacy Impact Assessment Requirements, which includes advice on how to complete a PIA and conduct a thorough privacy risk assessment.
