Are neighbors allowed to video tape what is going on in our back yard without our permission?

PIPA only applies to "organizations" as defined in the Act, section 1(i). Unless the action of videotaping (collecting and recording personal information) is being conducted by an organization or an individual acting in a commercial capacity, our office would not have jurisdiction over this situation. If this is occurring, you may wish to seek legal advice to resolve the matter.
